Thoughts on Cockatiels -  Wow, I never really put much thought into what they're like and what other types of birds are comparable in size and temperament if you don't like 'tiels until last night.  I mean, you can read anywhere that when tame and well raised they're super sweet, mellow, docile, quiet, etc., etc., etc.

Last night I was trying to help someone choose another bird that was the size and had the qualities of a cockatiel.  Good gravy!  There really AREN'T any!  I've always loved 'tiels and can't ever be without at least one, but I've never put thought into what unique perfection they are.  I mean, they are a dime a dozen in the parrot world!  Talk about don't take things for granted.
